SK Web Login Issue using AD ID
(for certain users )
Explanation of the Case:
Users use their AD credentials to login to SheetKraft Web application/UI.
For some users, when they try to Login to SheetKraft Web application/UI they get the ERROR - ‘Wrong Password’. But all the other users are able to login to SheetKraft Web application/UI successfully.
Observations for these User IDs are as follows:
NOTE: We are considering the following facts,
The AD IDs are active,
And the AD Credentials are entered correctly by users (without any typo or case sensitive mistake),
Also, they are able to login to Windows System and other applications using same AD credentials.
Considering above mentioned facts we have following observations:
These user IDs are present in SK.Users table.
For these users we are unable to fetch the details on SheetKraft UI in ‘ADD Users’ section. But for other users the same details are being fetched successfully.
In the ConfigEditor.exe, when we try to do ‘Fetch Profile’ for these user IDs we are getting Error as ‘Fetching profile data failed’(as shown in the image below), but we are able to fetch profile data for all the other users.
There is no connectivity issue with AD Server as all the other users are able to Login to SheetKraft UI successfully.
In SheetKraftWeb.log, for these users we are getting Error as ‘Login attempt for Aka**** failed. Incorrect Password’, whereas for all the other users Login and Logout log entries are available.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Following steps can be taken in order to try and resolve this issue:
Ask those users to Reset the Password from Windows and then try to login to SheetKraft.
In case the user has been recently disabled and re-enabled. Ask the user to logout and login to Windows using that id and then try to login to SheetKraft.
Confirm whether these users are in a different directory or group compared to other users, we need to verify this with the IT team as well. User being in a different directory could also be a reason for this issue.
